Is it really 4K or 8K?
Honest answer — the Allwinner H726 chip can decode 8K source files and accepts up to 1080p HDMI input, but the native projected resolution is 720p (1280×720). In a darkened room up to ~120", it looks great. We don't promise Hollywood 4K sharpness — we promise a watchable, fun, big-screen experience for a fraction of the price of a full home theater.
Will it work in daylight?
No — and neither does any projector under $1,000. This is a 290-lumen portable. Use it at dusk, after sunset, indoors with curtains drawn, in a basement, or at a campsite. In those environments, the picture is bright and clear.
Do I need a separate streaming stick?
It depends on the app. YouTube and most Android apps run natively on the built-in system. Netflix and Disney+ require a Fire Stick, Chromecast, or Roku plugged into the HDMI port — takes about 30 seconds. Dual WiFi 6 keeps streaming fast and stable.
